These Terms govern the use of the Japan Cat mobile application, designed for educational language tutoring. By using Japan Cat, you agree to both the Alano Tech Platform Terms (Part I) and the Japan Cat Product Terms (Part III).

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Alano Tech's platform services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services
Alano provides CRM, AI, and CDP solutions designed to help businesses manage customer relationships and analyze data. These platform services support the underlying infrastructure of our products.

3. Platform Services
Features may be updated or modified as we enhance our platform. You agree to use appropriate security measures. We implement robust security, but no system is completely immune. By using AI features, you grant us permission to use anonymized data for training. AI suggestions are meant to assist, not replace, human judgment.

4. User Responsibilities
You agree to: provide accurate info; comply with laws; not use services for illegal or unethical purposes; not disrupt security; respect intellectual property; and use features responsibly in accordance with data protection laws.

5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Alano platform are owned by Alano Tech Pte. Ltd. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your data.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alano Tech Pte. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes. We will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

A. Agreement Relationship
This End-User License Agreement ('EULA') is concluded solely between you and the Developer — Alano Tech Pte. Ltd. It is not concluded with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content. You agree to comply with App Store and Google Play guidelines.

B. License Grant
Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Japan Cat App solely on devices you own or control. You may not sell, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, remove proprietary notices, or build a competing product.

C. Description of the App
Japan Cat is an AI-powered Japanese language learning application. Features include Interactive Lessons, AI-Powered Practice and pronunciation feedback, Progress Tracking with analytics, Cultural Context, and Offline Mode. AI feedback is for educational purposes only.

D. User Accounts
Full access requires registration via email/password, Google OAuth, or Apple Sign In. You agree to provide accurate registration info, maintain credential confidentiality, and notify us of unauthorized access at hello@alano.ai.

E. Pricing
The App is currently free of charge. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce paid plans, we will update this EULA and provide advance notice. Future purchases will be processed through the platform's in-app purchase systems.

F. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
AI lessons, translations, and pronunciation feedback are for educational purposes. They may contain errors and should be supplemented with other resources and practice with native speakers.

G. User Content
'User Content' means all text, audio, and data you submit. You retain ownership. You grant Alano Tech a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit it solely to operate the Service and improve AI quality. It terminates when you delete your content/account.

H. Third-Party Services
Japan Cat integrates with third-party services for authentication and AI functionality. We are not responsible for the availability or privacy practices of these third-party services.

I. Acceptable Use
You must not: use automated scripts or scrapers; disrupt service performance; use the service for commercial purposes without consent; circumvent security; or share your account credentials.

J. Maintenance & Support
The Developer is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple and Google have no obligation to furnish support. Contact: hello@alano.ai.

K. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided 'As Is' and 'As Available'. Developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

L. Limitation of Liability & Product Claims
Developer's total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount paid in the preceding 3 months or USD $50. The Developer (not Apple, not Google) is responsible for addressing product claims.

M. Intellectual Property Rights
All software, design, trademarks, and lesson content of Japan Cat are the intellectual property of Alano Tech Pte. Ltd. Developer is responsible for third-party intellectual property claims.

N. Legal Compliance
You warrant that you are not in an embargoed or terrorist-supporting country, and not listed on any U.S. government restricted list.

O. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Data is deleted within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate this EULA.

P. Governing Law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Unresolved disputes will be settled by arbitration under the SIAC Rules in English.

Appendix B — Apple App Store Additional Terms
This agreement is with the developer, not Apple. Apple has no maintenance obligations. Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) in case of warranty failure. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and have the right to enforce this EULA.
